The Weekly Wishlist: My Two Sales Purchases So Far & Styling Grey Trousers
...without them looking like a school uniform
This newsletter includes:
Two trenches, a pair of trousers that feel like a good party find, and FINALLY, the suede loafers we’ve been looking for.
All my favourite reads from the week, including the legging folding hack you’ll want to do *immediately*.
Outfit formula inspiration galore; including last year’s best bits and two outfit recreations that feel like Christmas day contenders.
The wardrobe report - what’s in and out this week - plus a 10-minute styling video on my new DONNI grey trousers.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Madewell x LESET Pointelle Perfect Tee & Perfect Pant Set* (I’d order this in a M)
Once again, it was the group chat that alerted me to the Madewell x LESET collab, and I am *interested*. They have a full Pointelle collection*, and with prices about 30%-ish less than the standard LESET pieces, it’s a good way to try the brand in a slightly more affordable way. My top pick would be this set - a great WFH, ‘soft clothing day’™️ option - stick on a loafer and a big wool coat, and I’d wear it out the house too. The good news? They ship worldwide. The bad news? This isn’t part of the 40% off sale - although the highly recommended Cotton Perfect Crewneck Tee* is!!
MANGO High Waist Straight Jeans* (I’d order these in a 12)
I spotted these on Alex’s Substack this week and was very tempted, I have to say. They have a Tibi Tuck jeans vibe about them - a piece that sat on my wishlist for a good six months (and was only removed because of the price!). I wear jeans A LOT, so if I am ever looking to expand my collection, it’s with denim that’s a twist on a basic. I feel like the detailing on these is subtle enough that it doesn’t feel too trendy.
NA-KD Round Neck Knitted Sweater* (I’d order this in a M)
And we have Pandora to thank for this one! She commented on last week’s post that she’d dug up this jumper and felt like it was a good dupe for the DONNI one I’ve worn non-stop* (find a styling video on that in this post). Honestly, I’ve just LOVED having a red jumper in my wardrobe - who would have thought it? With a brown pair of loafers and some indigo deep-wash denim, it’s a look I could wear on repeat all season long.
A BONUS SALES ROUND-UP OF THINGS I REALLY RATE
Allies of Skin CE15 Bakuchoil Firming Oil* - 30% OFF - I stocked up on my favourite face oil the minute it went on sale. If you’ve tried Tret and find it a bit too much, this is a good nighttime alternative.
Away The Hanging Jewellery Organiser* - 25% OFF - You know I’m a sucker for organisation bits and bobs, and this jewellery roll would be PERFECT for travel.
Away The Weekender Bag* - 25% OFF - I mentioned this last week, and after some gentle nudges from readers, I picked it up. It’s basically a suitcase in holdall form. Perfect for a weekend away without filling up the whole car boot.
KitchenAid 4.8L Mixer* - 36% OFF - If you are a keen baker I highly, highly recommend this. I got one for my 30th birthday and use it on a weekly basis. And 36% off?! That’s wild.
Owala Freesip Waterbottle* - 30% OFF - I recently picked this up and have become a bit obsessed. It’s massive, easy to clean and leak-free.
