The *Ultimate* Holiday Gift Edit
Plus a £1000+ giveaway that one lucky paid sub will win...
Look, I’m a Virgo. Of course I have a note on my phone of all the people we have to buy gifts for and periodically update it when new ideas spring into mind or they drop hints. It’s in my DNA. So, let’s just say that I have this whole thing locked down. And it would be rude not to share, right?
Along with the highlights from my list (friends and family - look away now!), I’ve trawled the web for the ultimate festive gift guide, which caters to all budgets and should have you covered, whomever the lucky recipient is. So, if it’s a Secret Santa that’s got you scratching your head or a special someone that has you stumped, look no further…
P.S.) There’s a VERY special giveaway for paid subscribers. I’m talking the ultimate gift basket worth £1000+, so make sure you scroll to the bottom for your preview…
A LITTLE SOMETHING (UNDER £20)
I usually try to keep this section under £15, but that’s inflation for you! However, everything in this section skews more towards the lower end of the scale. So I’m thinking ideas for a Secret Santa, or a hosting gift - just a little something. You can shop the full edit here*, but here are my highlights:
Piccolo Eggplant Parmigiana Seeds* - I’m sorry, but this is genius. Gorgeously branded seeds that would grow the core ingredients for eggplant Parmigiana.
Hubsch Plant Watering Globe* - I feel like everyone in my life needs one of these - me included.
Glossier Hand Cream* - No one ever talks about this hand cream, but it’s one of the best travel sizes out there. The packaging is perfectly compact.
CLOTHING & CASHMERE
I never put together a HUGE edit for this one because I feel like clothing is tricky unless the recipient has made a very specific request. Hence, I stick to comfy basics, accessories, and cashmere goods. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
The White Company Ribbed Socks 2-Pack* - Every year, I have only one thing on my Christmas list - White Company socks. Need I say anymore?
UGG Scufette Slippers* - Anyone I’ve ever bought these for has always reported back that their feet have never been toastier. Mine last for years.
Soho Home Hooded House Robe* - If you’re going down the fleece dressing gown route, then this is the best one. Plus, you can get it customised.
A BEAUTY LOVERS DREAM
Beauty can be a hard category to buy, so I’d always ask if there’s anything they are in the market for, but if you want to surprise them then I don’t think you can go wrong with this list. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
Beauty Pie Super Holiday Haul* - This is their version of an advent calendar and it’s STACKED. 14-full size items. I know.
BEIS Travel Case* - I’m always a sucker for a makeup bag and I love all the compartments in this. It looks *roomy*.
MERIT Mini Flush Balm Trio* - Of course there’s a new limited edition shade in this set that looks right up my street. I use this blush formula all the time.
FOR THE FOODIES
I was very chuffed with my selection because I quizzed my foodie friend on what I should include in this category, and every single one of his suggestions was already here! If that’s not an endorsement, I don’t know what is?! You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
Microplane Zester Grater* - This is a kitchen item that we use on a weekly basis and comes in handy for grating tiny things like garlic, ginger and lemons.
H&M Linen Apron* - I have this same apron that I purchased probably five years ago now. I love the wrap style. It feels way more expensive than it actually is.
Grunwerg Rectangular Multiwood Cutting Board* - A nice chopping board is something that you just never buy yourself! Adding this to my personal list.
SOMETHING FOR THE HOME
I couldn’t not put in a little edit for all the homebodies out there. Think cosy blankets and fancy interiors you’d never treat yourself to. If you’re in need of some ideas for a host present as well, then this is where I’d have a root around. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
The White Company Winter Candle* - This one is a classic, but you get bang for your buck with this one. It will actually last all season long.
Topynod Candle Warmer* - A little light that slowly melts your candle, meaning your home smells GORGEOUS without the need for a naked flame.
ARKET Wool Blanket* - Because everybody needs a blanket stash by the sofa. Nothing quite like getting cosy.
FOR THE ORGANISED ONE
Now this is a category which I created basically for myself. If anyone in my life is reading this, then anything off this list would be FAB, please and thank you. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
Mejuri Black Jewellery Case* - I have this mini case and it’s so perfect for travel and fits all my jewellery in when I go away. Love that you can monogram it too.
Appointed 2025 Year Task Planner* - I’m a Notion girlie these days, but I were to revert back to my paper-planning ways, I’d be using this.
Steamery Iron Steamer* - I’m a big believer in that everyone needs a steamer in their life and they don’t come chicer than this.
THE FITNESS FANATIC
Chances are that if you have a fitness fanatic in your life, then they have all the gear already. So I’ve tried to find things that are a little off piste, but find me a workout girlie that doesn’t love another piece of kit. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
Lululemon Align Pants 25”* - I’ve tried them all and these are still the best low-impact workout legging by a mile. They are so stretchy so you can guess the size a bit off and they’ll still be a great fit.
Papier Wellness Journal* - From my experience, writing something down on paper means I’m far more likely to do it. You can personalise this journal, too.
Oura Ring* - Perhaps this is one to put on *your* list, but if you’re going to go all out this is the BIG purchase that I’d recommend. I’m a fan.
LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY
My husband, Mark, has cast his expert eye over this section, so you’re in good hands. Tech, coffee and hand cream are my go-to’s for the guys. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
Kinto To Go Coffee Tumbler* - For the guy who likes their espresso (that’s taken them about 15 minutes to make) on the go.
Portuguese Flannel Cotton-Corduroy Shirt* - I feel like clothing can be hard category to buy, so I tend to stick to shirts (just snoop into the labels of what they already own to check the size).
Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Cream* - Mark is the hand cream KING and swears that this is the best. Hands down.
FOR THE LITTLES
I learnt an important lesson putting this post together: never show a collage like this to your kid. The ‘bunny holding a Christmas tree’ is now top of Ralph’s list. Having a three-year-old means that my gifting experience is skewed to little little ones, so here are some personal faves from our household. You can shop the full edit here*, but these are my highlights:
BRIO Mighty Gold Locomotive* - Ralph has played with this daily for the past year. The big buttons mean that even the tiniest of fingers can operate it with ease.
H&M Dressing Gown* - If you’re buying for a kid you don’t know too well then you can’t go wrong with a dressing gown. This one is SO CUTE.
Classic World Fruits Cut Puzzle* - If you’re buying for a 1-3 year old, this feels like a good choice; a 2-in-1 wooden puzzle, with fruits that you can chop.
