Ohhhhh, I love those green trousers! I live in Italy, where is gets very hot in the long summers, and my legs never see the sun. I live in linen from May until October, and one thing I've learnt is that the better the quality the linen, the better the creases form. Cheap linen concertinas up and looks as though you've slept in it, but good quality linen forms softer creases (hard to describe!) that will kind of change throughout the day - it creases all right, but in a less frumpy way, and is still wearable the next day (most of my wardrobe comes from Not Perfect Linen). I also love really nicely cut cotton pyjamas, which I wear as separates (I have some from Liberty, and John Lewis. When it's hot, you need something with a waft factor, especially when you are going to work on sweaty days, and don't want to look as though you just don't care!

Oh I love this! And yes you’re right - the ‘waft factor’ is a big consideration! X

A medium in both - I'd recommend sizing up in the top as it was a bit tight around my bum! x

I’d like to know too. I’m a size M so should I get a L? as she suggests to size up for the top

I’m Irish and Swedish, and not built for summer heat or sunshine. I realized a few years ago that to make the season something I can endure, I need to invest in pieces I love to wear and that make me feel more comfortable. So, lots of linen dresses, slacks, and oversized button downs, plus made-to-order French and Italian sandals. I have two pairs of Rondini from St- Tropez and a pair of jeweled sandals from Nana in Positano. I recently got a Dior Mitzah narrow scarf to wear as a headband tied at the nape of my neck. I have certain perfumes I wear only in the warmer months, as well as a red-orange Chanel nail polish. And I always, always have a hand fan in my handbag at all times.

So, these are a few of the things I do to make summer chic and somewhat bearable.

I love your honesty about everything from your partnership excitement (CHEERING) to your sweatiness (RELATABLE). Partial to those miraculous pants with heft and the white top (wow) but beautiful outfits, all! YAY!

Adore the new mod shots, Anna!

Thank you Anna, what a great selection of outfits! The only downside is that I’m now tempted by too many of the items mentioned! Do you think the Toteme tank top would look good worn with a bra?

Great suggestions! One of my "secrets" is the GapFit High Rise Runaround Trousers. They are as comfortable as sweatpants (the back waistband is elastic!), look great with everything, are so thin for summer, and are made out of that fantastic Dry Fit material so they even work here in the incredibly humid American South! They also come in several neutral colors, so I definitely suggest picking up more than one pair, especially when Gap runs their sales - which they do quite frequently.

Did I mention they also come in petite and tall size?
