Weekly Wardrobe #15
Updating my three words, a new leopard print coat and what I'm wearing for the big day tomorrow...
MONDAY, TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY
Hello there! Why does it feel like it’s been 1789 years since I last checked-in? ARE WE ALL OK!?! It’s probably because this week has been a bit of a whirlwind thanks to a trip up to the Midlands to see the in-laws with a two year old who has decided that he hates car journeys again and spends more time snacking than I do scrolling on Vinted - and that’s A LOT. So the theme of this week has been ‘practicality’ which isn’t exactly sexy, but I’ve tried my best to put my own spin on it and actually I HAVE THOUGHTS!
I’ve lumped the beginning of the week together because I was just living out of a tote-bag and was basically just cycling between two outfits - my ARKET cashmere crew neck and my new AGOLDE turn-up jeans* (size down from your usual AGODLE size - I wear a 28 in the 90’s pinch waist and a 27 in this style, so it’s technically two sizes down from usual - I’m normally a 29 in denim), and my Loulou Studio knit* and my old MANGO knitted wide-leg trousers. Along with my massively oversized Toteme jumper* I wore every combination of those five items and pretty much stuck to the outfit plan that I spoke about last week (find my full packing list there).
It acted as a good reminder that when you actually love your clothes and have really invested in the basics and making sure that everything fits and aligns with your personal style, then you really don’t need a lot. I never felt like I was compromising or didn’t feel like myself and actually it was nice to have the outfit already chosen for me in a way. Plus less washing on the return home - WIN.
