I don’t think my weekly style digest has ever been filled with so much colour. It’s 90% down to my recent colour analysis and 10% down to my craving for something new. Something that just isn’t black. I know, were you sitting down for that one?
What’s included in this week’s newsletter…
The new Toteme-esque brand that’s landed on NET-A-PORTER, the perfect small spring/summer bag and an edit of the most gorgeous olive pieces to think about adding to your wishlist.
Two Substacks that I saved this week (and one that is ESSENTIAL for any upcoming packing you have to do).
My screengrabs this week have some *fab* spring outfit formulas for you to try (and there’s one I’ve already given a go).
Why I’ve been feeling itchy to shop and how I’ve been resisting the scratch.
…and finally the movement on my style wishlist and the one thing that I’ve added.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me over your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Sezane Will Jacket in Straw Suede* (I wear it in a L)
I added the green suede version of this onto the wishlist for paid subscribers last week, but this buttery yellow? This deep, rich muted yellow?! It’s calling my name. Especially since I’ve been eyeing up the £1.2k Toteme-version (never gonna happen!). The Sezane one looks a little more vibrant in colour, but that might not necessarily be a bad thing. I’d love to wear it as it’s styled below, with a creamy base underneath, a brown suede bag and maybe even a jumper around the waist. Slouchy, chic spring perfection.
Boden Kitty Flexi Sole Ballet Pumps*
I’m always keeping an eye on the leopard print market - coats, bags, shoes - you name it, I’m googling it at least once a week for you. I’m more than happy to be your leopard print correspondent. These caught my eye for two reasons. Firstly, the toe sits more on the square side of things, which is a more modern way to do a ballet flat and generally a bit more elongating to the leg. Plus, the leopard print itself is orangey, instead of cool-toned, which is my preference. They look like the Repetto ones, but I prefer the shape of these. If you fancy something plainer, these come in a load of colours or try these MANGO Leather Ballerinas* that have a nice square toe.
& Other Stories Cap-Sleeve Satin Midi Dress*
I’ve dedicated some time in April to go into full-on wedding guest dressing advisor mode as it crops up every single summer and is something that I know a lot of us struggle with. But until then I’m on the lookout for dresses that would work in a wedding guest setting, but have versatility beyond that and also aren’t necessarily bright and/or floral. I spotted this one and even though it’s styled in a more sporty way on the site, I feel like this has huge potential. Imagine it with some beige strappy heels, a little Alienina Rope Bag clutch and some chunky gold earrings? But then just worn with flip-flops and beach hair on holiday for a late dinner out? I feel like you could do a lot with this dress.
