The Weekly Wishlist: Elevated Basics, Partywear & Loafer Styling Advice
Plus 20% off one of my favourite brands...
This newsletter includes:
The U.K-made brand that does knitwear *so* well, where to head for those elevated basics and partywear pieces I actually want to wear.
A handful of style-related articles and videos to scroll this weekend, and the hack for oversized jumpers that you might already have in your wardrobe.
Three pre-winter outfit ideas and your weekly check-in of my ‘Wardrobe Report’ and what I’ve been buying.
Plus, a video all about loafers: how I’m styling them, the trouser-lengths they work best with, and the sock wardrobe it’s handy to have on hand.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
ARKET Embellished Shift Dress* & V-Neck Blazer Top*
The good news is that ARKET is running a 20% off sale all weekend* with the code ARKET20 - you can shop my full edit here* (minimum spend of £100/€100). These two pieces caught my eye, though, as items that could help see you through the festive season without feeling too ‘festive’, if you know what I mean. The embellishment on the dress is so subtle, and I really like the relaxed shape and the fact you could just throw on some loafers or ballet flats for a chilled vibe. Then, I hadn’t really seen anything like this blazer top before. SO CHIC. I’d wear it with a relaxed pair of black trousers and some kind of statement shoes.
COS Leather-Collared Field Jacket* (I’d order this in a S and M as COS comes up notoriously VERY oversized)
I am trying to resist the barn jacket trend, but then I keep stumbling across jackets that just SING TO ME. Case in point: this one. It feels a little more buttoned-up and polished than other ones I’ve seen, thanks to the leather collar and lack of detailing. It’s easily my favourite one that I’ve seen so far and is still in stock in most sizes, which is a rarity as every other time I’ve checked, it’s been sold out.
Everlane The Puffer Bomber in Black* & The Fair Isle Crew* (I’d order both in a M)
I always forget about Everlane, but they just do practical pieces with such ease. Do you know those items that are truly the workhorses of your wardrobe? Those. I’m always searching for chic but toasty coats and jackets, and this puffer fits that bill perfectly. I like that it sits a little shorter on the body, but it still feels like a length that my Mum would approve of. Then, this jumper feels like a cute nod to Christmas jumpers in a subtle and very neutral way. Hey, you know me. Colourful patterns? Non. But a neutral pattern? I’m interested.
