The Weekly Wishlist: Dupes For Things I Wear All The Time
Plus, a load of vintage suede jackets because June is still sadly jacket-wearing weather now...
This week’s newsletter includes:
A Sézane wide-jeans dupe, the high-street spot that is nailing the waistcoat look right now, the best suede jackets on the market and a TONNE of secondhand options.
A simple thing you can do RIGHT NOW to make you wear those items you’ve been ignoring.
A reader request video just for you! I'm comparing my Dragon Diffusion bag to my St. Agni one.
A very good uniform for this weird June weather we’re having (a high of 16℃ today - yay 🫠)
I’m intrigued by how we all put together outfits every day - so here’s a poll!
Plus, as always, here is an update on my style wishlist - what’s been added, removed, and what have I bought for June.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
COS Square-Neck Mini Dress* (I’d order this in a 38 and 40 as I feel like COS sizing can be tricky)
This dress gave me Faithfull The Brand vibes (you know, the one I wore in Mallorca?). Mini-style, with a square neckline, this one even has pockets! Although the weather in the UK hasn’t meant this something I’ve been able to wear on home soil (yet!), it was perfect on holiday, with just a pair of flip-flops or strap-heavy sandals and a woven leather bag. That’s exactly how I’d style it again.
Aligne Quinn Denim Waistcoat* (I’d order this in a 12)
THIS IS THE DENIM WAISTCOAT I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR! I first saw this at an Aligne SS23 preview earlier this year and have been patiently waiting for it to drop on the site ever since, and here we are! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Aligne does co-ords really well, and this is no exception. I think this would look great with a lighter, more breezy fabric on the bottom. If cotton maxi skirts were your thing, I’d pair it with that, but I’d most likely wear it with something like my Toteme Wide Leg Linen Trousers*, just to balance out the textures.
DISSH Serena Chocolate Linen Halter Top* & Gina Chocolate Elastic Waistband Trousers* (I’d order both in a US 8)
I have my eye on a few linen coordinating sets, but this one is at the top of the class. A chocolate brown linen moment - stunning. Bra-wearing is off the cards as it’s backless (there is a short-sleeve linen shirt in a matching fabric, but I can’t spot it on the site, so it must have sold out!), but it falls into the ‘nice top’ category, meaning it’s something that you could easily throw on with jeans for some chill evening plans. I’m a sucker for a set; it just makes getting dressed in the morning so quick and easy.
