Everything I Wore Last Week: Three Nights In Mallorca
Everything I did, ate and, most importantly... wore
This post is in partnership with NET-A-PORTER. I know, I know. Pinch me. I’m over the moon to be partnering with them on this newsletter. What a dream.
This week’s edition of ‘Everything That I Wore This Week’ is a little different because we spent three nights in one of our favourite places - Mallorca. We have realised that we are slowly turning into our parents as a holiday we’ve been on before now feels like a comforting hug. The same hotel. The same restaurants. No surprises. This is 34!!!!! So our trip here this time was more about chilling than it was about an adventure. We first visited here childless and full of energy five years ago, so if exploring is what you’re after, then check out my original Mallorca guide here.
TUESDAY
I made two discoveries on the short flight over here:
‘Anyone But You’ is the perfect in-flight film. It's a very silly rom-com where you know exactly where it’s heading, but it will still make you laugh. Mark watched it over my shoulder the whole time.
This cutie patootie of a Dragon Diffusion bag*. I’ve lusted over their bags for so long, but this one felt like the right size and shape. I lack on the ‘hand holdy’ bags front as most that I own are ones that you sling over your shoulder, so it’s been nice to wear it that way, but it tucks neatly under my shoulder, too. For the flight, I managed to fit in all my essentials, a massive book, snacks and a 1-litre water bottle. It was the only bag I bought with me, and it seamlessly slotted in with every single outfit.
We picked up our rental car and then headed straight to Palma to catch a quick dinner before we did the last leg of our journey to the hotel. Here’s what I wore:
Lié Studios The Vera Earrings* - I bought other earrings with me but reverted to wearing these every single day.
Faithfull The Brand Antipas Top* - I still cannot believe that I managed to purchase this top when it was back in stock for like, 5 seconds. It’s such a cracker.
Toteme Trousers* - These are a very relaxed and very comfortable pair of trousers. My only note would be to go one or two sizes down from your usual. They are very oversized - I’m going to get mine taken in a little.
St Agni Sandals* - A good option if you’re like me and you’re trying to wean yourself off of wearing flip-flops every single day.
Dragon Diffusion Bag* - As mentioned above. Expect to see me wearing this A LOT upon our return.
In fact clothing wise for this trip, I only packed 10 items:
The only other clothing items I packed in my bag were:
Pyjamas, workout gear and underwear
A straw hat
My flip-flops for the pool
A cashmere crew neck jumper for the flight
I cannot stress how light my bag was - even Mark remarked on it! Plus, at no point did I ever feel like I needed more options. If anything, I needed more days here to get through all the combinations I’d thought of!
WEDNESDAY
For breakfast at the hotel, I slipped into a classic holiday early-morning formula:
A button-up shirt* - linen if it’s warmer, silk if it’s a little cooler.
Linen trousers* - got to make space for three rounds of the breakfast buffet.
Slicked-back bun, massive sunglasses, big earrings, no makeup - my holiday beauty look of choice. Why do I even bother packing mascara at this point? I don’t know.
Mark and I both indulged in our hobbies on Wednesday. He hired a bike for the day, and I… went to the spa. The massages here are so good that I usually fall asleep. This time though, I spiced it up by getting a ‘Sculpting Massage’, which turned out to be 60 minutes of bum and belly rubbing. It's not for the faint-hearted!!! As someone who can barely touch their knees, I did find that it loosened up the ol’ hamstrings. I might revert back to the ‘Relaxing Massage’ next time, though, I have to say.
I have two holiday reads for you:
‘Wandering Souls’ by Cecile Pin - “A luminous, boldly imagined debut novel about three Vietnamese siblings who seek refuge in the UK, expanding into a sweeping meditation on love, ancestry, and the power of storytelling”. I finished it whilst we were away and sobbed outside on the balcony. One of those books that I feel I’ll remember for a long time. I tried to tell Mark the storyline over dinner but had to stop as I was welling up.
‘The Bee Sting’ by Paul Murray - “An irresistibly funny, wise, and thought-provoking tour de force about family, fortune, and the struggle to be a good person when the world is falling apart”. I picked up this book at the airport on a friend’s recommendation, whom I respect very much. I’m about 10% of the way through, but so far, it’s kept me entertained.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Jacaranda (I’m pretty sure you can book it if you’re not a hotel guest too!). I’d say it’s a smart casual affair, but I wanted to go all out with this dress. This dress breaks two rules that I said in this week’s post that I’m not a huge fan of when it comes to summer dressing - it’s backless, AND it’s strappy. Which I said I don’t love because I don’t often find the occassion to wear such pieces. BUT HELLO! The occasion arose, and I felt a million dollars in it. The fabric is heavier than you’d think, but it flows beautifully as you walk. I just can’t get over it. I justified it to myself by categorising it as something that would work for a Black Tie dress code (which is a dress code I’m not sure I’ve ever had to dress for in my life! I just like to be prepared), and also something that I’ll add onto my wardrobe rental profile so others can enjoy it too. When I got a little chilly at dinner, I just threw the brown silk shirt from earlier over the top.
THURSDAY
We thoroughly enjoyed waking up past our usual time of 5:20 am and slept in until 8 am!! This might be a record for our latest wake-up this year so far!! So we didn’t end up with a lot of time on our hands to get ready for breakfast on Thursday morning. That’s where a matching set comes in. When I bought these separates, I always knew I wanted to wear them together, but it was an even better combination than I first expected. Oversized, but still tailored. Relaxed, but still elegant. I think this will be a great working-from-home outfit this summer. I felt very, very chic despite the wet hair and panic-shoving my morning vitamins down my throat.
Whenever I find a TikTok with good recommendations for a place that we like to visit or plan to visit, I save them in a ‘Travel Tips’ collection. So when we booked this trip, I remembered that I’d seen a TikTok that recommended a Pilates studio—Calma Pilates. How bloomin’ gorgeous is this place? Mark and I headed over to the west side of the island to take a class on the Reformer, and the instructor was amazing, Marina. What a workout. We both felt great after it, but still have sore inner thighs three days later. It was a BURN.
At the Pilates studio, I slipped into something a little less sporty, this Faithfull The Brand Mini Dress*. I’m a sucker for a linen mini-dress, and this ticks all my boxes. Plus, I love the added details like the square-neck/sweetheart neckline mash-up and the button-up design; it just makes it a little different to the classic shift style that I already have hanging up in my wardrobe. It was great for a toasty lunchtime stint of city exploring. If you are smaller in the bust area *raises hand*, I would recommend going down a size. I’m wearing a medium here and will get it taken in a little around the chest once I’m home.
We stayed in at the hotel for dinner again. It was BBQ night and Mark was not about to turn that down. In leui of packing a skirt, I made my dress into one by layering the black tank over the top. It just switched it up a bit, and like dinner the night before I packed my silk shirt into my bag to throw over my shoulders once the sun set. I cannot stress how obsessed with this bag I am. It does it ALL.
With 10 items, I created eight outfits and like I said - I could have made more! It felt easy having a such a small, curated selection to choose from each morning. There’s a post in that somewhere - I’ll be back! I hope you enjoyed this format of newsletter. It goes without saying that it was a *joy* to put together. Normal ‘Wardrobe Diary’ activity will resume again next week and if you like what you see then make you subscribe!

Obsessed with this. A "vacation in 10 outfits" that I actually truly related to, and that felt do-able. Even if I have neither legs for days nor boobs that can be sans bra in backless. You make this so doable. And I am SEEN re vacay trifecta. Snacks in a flavor you don't have at home are an essential component of any vacation.
Hi Anna! Do the St Agni flats fit true to size? Thank you!
