The Weekly Wishlist: An End of Summer Mood
The pieces you'll want to live in for the rest of the year.
This newsletter includes:
Two high-street bags that give KHAITE-vibes, the belt that’s top of my list right now and my top picks from COS’ pre-autumn drop.
The three Substacks that I’ve saved in my inbox this week and my top, top tip for end of summer outfit inspiration (where you won’t have to buy a thing!!).
The looks that I’ve screengrabbed this week and how I’m recreating them in my wardrobe.
Styling one of my best recent buys - an exclusive Substack video just for paid subs ❤️
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Harris Tapper Kantor Shirt in White* (I’d order a 10)
I hadn’t heard of this brand, The Undone Store*, until about a month ago - it must have been through my Substack reading that I discovered it - and well, it’s a treasure trove of minimal style gems. I’d taken a few scrolls before, but it was after they posted the reel that I’ve linked below that this shirt shot straight to the top of my list. I’m on the hunt for the perfect white shirt for me - something that doesn’t have too much volume in the sleeves (I have to report that I tried on the Sézane one that I linked in last week’s newsletter, and it was still too puffy in the shoulders). Could this be the one? I will forever strive to be as chic as the lady in the video and wear heels during the day. It’s a great outfit.
Massimo Dutti Leather Jacket* (I’d order the 12)
I screengrabbed this from a TikTok video and I have to say Massimo Dutti are not to be slept on. Their jackets, in particular, feel special. I’d keep an eye on the stock levels on their suede jacket for the season, too*. This feels like such a chic take on a leather jacket - UNREAL. And I love how it’s styled here with floaty cotton and lighter fabrics to balance out the heaviness of the leather. If you’re looking to add a bit of texture to your wardrobe and ‘elevated’, ‘classic’ or ‘90’s’ are one of your three words, then I’d pop this on your radar.
Abercrombie High Rise ’90s Relaxed Jeans in Super Dark* (I wear a 28 in this style)
My not-online friends are always asking me about denim. They are looking for affordable styles, available in a range of sizes (and lengths) and cuts that push them out of their slimmer fit comfortable zone but aren’t so much of a departure that they feel unsure. May I present to you what I always present to them? This style from Abercrombie. They still hug the butt and the very tops of the thighs and then skim down in a straight leg until just below ankle height (depending on what length you get). My friends are always happy with them once they’ve found their size (but always report back that store stock is low, so it’s best to shop online). I really like this new wash they’ve bought out. It feels very AGOLDE-esque.
