The Weekly Wishlist: A Basics Refresh
...plus the coat on sale that I'll be wearing all autumn long.
This newsletter includes:
A linen set for late summer, perhaps the most perfect white shirt that I’ve tried and a slouchy working-from-home outfit formula to try.
A blow-by-blow (with product recommendations!) of how I care for my leather goods at home.
My takeaways from my sessions with Allison Bornstein and how I’m implementing them into my wardrobe.
Two new-in pieces, how I’m styling them and the decline of black in my wardrobe.
My first ever styling video in my new wardrobe set-up! This time round, I’m showing you the ways that I can’t wait to wear my Toteme sale-find car coat.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
COS Oversized T-Shirt* (I’d order in a M)
I’ve veered away from grey throughout the years, and if you’re a fellow Sweaty Person™️ , then you’ll get it. The colour just isn’t kind to us. However, I’m thinking that this deeper vintage-type grey might be a little more forgiving, and it pairs with pale wash denim SO WELL. Imagine this T-shirt with some straight-leg jeans, flip-flops, a summery bag to balance it out and all your favourite jewellery. Stunning. I’ve been searching for just the right cut and just the right colour, and I think this is it.
Reformation Olina Silk Pant in Dried Herb* (I’d order these in a M)
I’m always on the lookout for a dupe for my sold-out-never-restocked ARKET silk trousers that also happen to be a great dupe for a pair from The Row. I’ve found ones that have a similar shape, but never the exact same colour, until now. These look so spot-on in the colour, ‘Dried Herb’. I bought my original pair on a whim over two years ago now, and every single summer, they are a surprise hit. Scroll down towards the end of this newsletter to see one of my favourite ways to style them with a cashmere crew-neck cardigan and chunky sandals.
ARKET Suede Ballerinas* (if you’re between sizes, I’d recommend going for the smaller size; if not, stay true to size)
I just really rate ARKET as a destination for shoes. I think they do that category (and coats and knitwear) really well. And their ballerina styles are some of their best. I really like the shape and print of my snakeskin pair*, but the colour of these? DIVINE. A dark colour as well, so pretty practical. I like that they always tend to go for a more square or soft square toe over rounded designs that, on me, just never look right. A great shoe to bridge the summer-to-autumn wardrobe transition.
