Thank you for compiling Anna! I cannot even begin to tell you how much the “comfortable shoe that is not a trainer” has changed my life. As a gal living in hilly San Francisco I thought I **needed** fun sneakers but your POV on this has really shifted my mindset!
I also live in a hilly area in the Bay Area and my Soloman sneakers are my go to when I’m on foot, they’re cute enough but also supportive and have good traction. What non sneaker shoes have been working for you?
I love your style and your style musings Anna, by far my favourite style content online! Thank you for all the great ideas, thoughts and learnings you’ve shared with us in 2024!
Anna, it’s been such a pleasure and inspiration following along on your style journey! Thank you for being so open and candid. It’s really not easy being vulnerable on a platform as big as yours.
I’ve learned a lot from all your reflections and truly appreciate how generous you’ve been in sharing your lessons and finds. Thank you!
Wishing you and your loved ones a season that’s merry, bright, and full of good cheer. Here’s to a 2025 filled with joy, love, and a little extra sparkle!
Madly impressed that you have only been on SS for a year because the community you have built is amazing!! I’m also grateful you shared your learnings with your readers from the beginning; your Seasonal Uniforms are my favorite lessons!
Loved hearing about your journey and what you’ve learned about your style this year. Definitely agree on the shoe hard truths, they are so important to get right for your lifestyle. They’re the foundation of the whole outfit, and the day!
Not really related to anything you wrote about, but I gasped when I saw that photo of you in Brooklyn by the Biggie mural! I moved to different neighborhood a couple years ago, but I lived right on that corner for 10 years. So funny to see you there!
I had my colours done, and as a ginger with blue eyes - mine are similar to yours too. Black is not my friend, but I live in it! What I've started to do is to add accessories which are in the right colours. So a chunky scarf in winter in a suitable red/green/blue for example. It means I am not completely replacing my wardrobe, but I also don't look dead... Oh and bright red or bright hot pink lips help (at least for me)
You really are the queen! Every single look in this newsletter is just SO GOOD, but wow, that all white summer look with the St Agni sandals and the DD bag... I am floored! Is that a matching set or?
Just want to say thank you for your content this year, particularly Substack. It’s really helped me discover my style post partum and given me easy hacks such as planning my seasonal uniform so it’s easy to get dressed in the morning and I don’t feel overwhelmed. Hope you and your family have a nice break over Christmas x
I'm working on coming up with my version of the "set." I don't care for matched sets as I feel like a mannequin in a store (and I hate the idea that others are wearing the same exact outfit that I am!), so I'm trying to find mix-and-match pieces that give the same sense of coziness and polish without being pre-matched. Any suggestions?
Thank you for this handy round-up. I think I’m going to get my colours done… I feel like I know what they are, but that it would be great to have that confirmed and to see what I’m missing.
This is such a wonderful summary of all the amazing learnings I have gleaned from your content this year. I cannot wait to see what you have coming up in 2025! Also, thanks for giving me an excuse to rationalise buying more shoes next year! Hehe 🌹

The best thing? Leopard print works for us!!

Just the delightful and thoughtful escape and knowledge I needed today. XO.

I’m a little surprised that “minimal” didn’t come up as one of your three words, as I think you do it well!
Love this! 🤍
