Hi Anna, I’d like to incorporate some more trousers that aren’t jeans into my outfits, but I also don’t want to look like I’m wearing office-attire at the weekends. I have linen trousers but it’s a bit cold for those at the moment. Any ideas? Thank you! :)
Amazing, thank you! I really like these because they actually do look casual!! I go fairly smart-casual to the office so when I wear any kind of wide leg trouser with a nice tshirt or shirt, I just end up feeling like I’ve dressed for work. But these definitely wouldn’t give me that feeling..might have to purchase!
I might have to try this. My summer linen trousers are white and I feel weird wearing white linen in the cold and rain, but I could definitely winter-ify them a bit with a nice jumper. Thank you!!
I love Aritzia's Effortless pant (but that might be too close to work clothes). I'm also a big fan of their leather pants (which can be super comfortable). For non-Aritzia, I've been leaning towards Adidas Track Pants for a fun pant for girls nights, etc.
I have been eyeing the adidas firebird track pants for a while now (either the navy/white or the green/yellow combo) so you might have just convinced me!
Hi! I am looking for a flat leather shoe that isn’t a loafer. Like an updated ballet flat I guess. Ideally something that isn’t black but still really useful and will go with a lot. Thank you!
At some point heading into spring I would love to hear more of your thoughts on how to rework personal style for spring/summer when you're a person who's style is much more in line with Fall/Winter silhouettes, colors, textures, layering, etc. I always feel like I have to adopt a completely different style come the summer months, and I don't really feel like myself. I'd like to find a way this year of staying authentic to my style throughout the seasons. Keeping in mind, I'm a fellow sweaty person! :)
Hello Anna, first time here for me :) I really like your stile and you are probably my biggest reference and inspo! I wear blazers quite often in the office and for some reasons I cannot wear them outside the office without feeling "corporate" even on a karaoke night on Saturday! So I was wondering, is there a difference between a blazer to wear at work and a blazer to wear on a night out?
Hi Anna! I'd love to find a matching set (100% natural fibres ie. cotton) that is comfortable to wfh in but is also elevated ie. could duck out to get a coffee. I've seen adanola sets but they feel too 'sportswear'. Thank you
Hi! I'd love ideas and tips for ways to wear and style oversized button down poplin shirts! My go-to is wearing them open with a tank underneath but I'd like more ideas. They're usually a lot of fabric to stuff into jeans but I do love the structure they bring to an outfit.
Hi Anna! I’m going back to work after maternity leave and looking for a new bag. It needs to be able to fit a laptop and survive rainy walks to the office (so prob not suede ). Looking to spend between £300-£500. Any suggestions? Im based in Sweden so have some great brands here like little Liffner and Toteme but I just cant find something that fits the bill yet. Thank you!
I got a Kate Spade leather laptop bag a few years ago and it’s fab actually, looks good, doesn’t get scratched somehow, has a shoulder strap for when there’s a ton of papers in there too.
I need to update my blazer collection, and have learned that I really only reach for lighter-weight blazers with nice drape, that don't feel stiff at all, read a little slouchy instead of boxy, and don't make me overheat indoors. I love them to look expensive, with some texture or subtle print (herringbone, tweed, etc.), and hit a little long (I'm 5'9" and like hip or upper thigh length). I wear a US 6-8 generally, and would appreciate links to options that work in the US, or names of specific pieces, since I often click your links and get redirected. I'm obsessed with your Acne grey wrap blazer but haven't been able to find it in my size on resale sites... many thanks in advance for a few options, if possible!
Hi Anna, I need some help styling a denim-on-denim look. I love the style but I'm not sure how to combine different washes and fits. Are there any guidelines for pairing them well? Also, do you have any shop recommendations for a denim shirt and jeans that go well together? My budget is in the Arket, COS, & Other Stories range. I wear size EU 38 and I'm 1.69m tall. Thanks!
Hi! Im looking for a slimmer jean that’s almost leaning towards a skinnier straight leg that I can wear with ankle boots that still fit under the jean. I have a curvy bum and thighs - any ideas? Size 10-12. Thanks!
Thanks will give that a try! I’m 5 foot 7. I also tried Frame’s The Ruler and that was also pretty much what I’m looking for but I can only seem to find it in black in 27 right now.
I second the recommendation for the CoH Zurie for a skinnier straight leg cut. I do find that they initially fit little tight in the upper thigh and then relax a decent amount with wear. Not sure how tall you are but I'm 5'8" / 173cm and the full length version is just long enough for me.
Hi Anna, Maybe less of a question for here and more for a substack video… trouser lengths! Feels like my trousers either hit at too long or too short when paired with different types of shoes.
Hi! I can’t decide between the Toteme tote in brown and brown croco. I love croco, but it feels a bit fancy for everyday office wear. My style is minimal, so it could add nice texture. I also have a brown suede Liffner bag that I wear non-stop. What do you think?
Hi Fia! I'm literally having the exact same conundrum and it's the one reason why I haven't bought it yet because I can't pick! I guess it depends how much texture you usually wear in your outfits. I tend to add the most texture with bags, so I'm swinging towards the croco right now, but I feel like the plain would get nice and buttery and soft over time. I'm torn too! Sorry I couldn't be of more help! x
Hi Anna, long time, first time! I’m after a pair of cream coloured cotton/linen pants for the summer but so many online look to be quite see-through? Something with a zip/button front so that I can wear it both casually or to the office please - thanks!
Hi Anna, I am thinking about buying a black blazer for day to day wear but I don't know if it's the wrong decision for my lifestyle and the rest of my wardrobe (I don't want to have to make a whole load of new purchases to be able to wear it).
I tend to wear casual clothing for work (I'm in tech) but in mid 40s so want to look put together. I wear skinny and baggy jeans, also wide tailored trousers from Me+Em, mainly with fine knit tops or t-shirts. Would a black blazer go with these bottoms or would I need to make a whole new set of purchases? And if it is a good idea, what style do I go for? I'm short (5' 2"), broadish shoulders and short legs, muscular but slim build. All advice welcome!

Personally I love corduroy as an alternative to jeans for the colder months. And linnen for warmer weather
I do like a wide leg corduroy too! Sometimes it feels a bit masculine for my style…any ideas how to make cords look a bit more relaxed/feminine?
Or, if anyone has ideas on how to style this pair: https://www.ayr.com/products/the-metropolitan-in-corduroy?variant=40694039248975&country=US¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=21814642293&utm_content=170626549602&utm_term=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21814642293&utm_content=170626549602&utm_term=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADdJ9yL8feoJ3YCPiXsH87VlMY5T8&gclid=CjwKCAiAwaG9BhAREiwAdhv6Y7qv8RUOGUMGGEF_JomKtOYkAFJMHUKD9gOY-5kHJIITeEb1H1UIMhoChvYQAvD_BwE
I could use the help. Especially to make it office appropriate...
I have this problem too. Have found that Whistles, Hush & Ralph Lauren do some good options! Here’s a pair from whistles https://www.whistles.com/product/tessa-casual-trouser-36247.html#q=Navy%20trousers%20&is=false&sz=60&start=0&isSecondPage=false&pid=tessa-casual-trouser-36247&pos=1

I'll often wear thermal leggings/ tights under my lighter trousers in the winter, or just very long socks and big pants can help!

I'm definitely going to have to check out the green/yellow combo!
I have this issue too! I hate wearing my work clothes when I'm not at work. I like to draw the line.

She has great stuff from S/S from previous years!!

How are you restyling what you have for the season ahead, to keep things feeling fresh and modern, with a nod to the trends? Thanks.

Great question! I love oversized shirts and I used to wear them over skinny jeans, but sadly skinny jeans don’t feel very relevant anymore 🫣
I like them over short dresses in summer! But would love to have more ideas from Anna!
Agreed! I used to do the same when I exclusively wore skinny jeans lol. Would love tips for how to wear them with trousers and straight-leg jeans :)
Hi Anna, I am in the market for nice flats (preferably in a nice dark red colour) that are not too formal looking. Thank you for your help

I think the Longchamp Le Pilage bags are great!
Thank you Cassie! Great suggestion
I’ve been looking at Finisterre and also Rains
Literally the opposite of what you asked for because it’s suede but this looks so useful size wise. https://www.quince.com/women/italian-suede-shopper-tote.

Not sure where you are located but the Aussie brand Venroy have great linen and poplin options that are easy to care for.
I should’ve added - looking for a straight leg, can be slightly cropped as I’m not too tall myself!
Hi, obviously not Anna. Hush did a great pair of trousers (I have them in black), but there doesn’t appear to be many sizes left as it’s final sale, might be worth looking for them secondhand? https://www.hush-uk.com/emily-cotton-wide-leg-trousers-ecru/010591-2855.html
