MONDAY
Here’s the thing with putting together weekly shopping edits. Sometimes you have to buy the thing. Case in point: this Anna Lui Necklace. It’s entirely unlike anything I own, a non-neutral and takes me back to the year 2000 when I wore nothing but elasticated beaded bracelets from wrist to elbow. But this photo drew me in, and so on Monday, I attempted to style it in a similar vein. A quick lesson in colour theory for me is that it doesn’t work as well when I’m wearing a black top (with my dark hair added in, it all reads a bit to Halloween!). But with a simple white vest top and jeans, it’s an outfit maker. Give it a go: neutral strap sandals + straight leg indigo-wash jeans + white vest top + textured bag, + a necklace that feels completely out of your comfort zone. Here are some options for you:
TUESDAY
Tuesday is always a bit of a here, there and everywhere day for me and is always the day of the week when I feel like I haven’t got IT DONE, you know? I must lean into it and reserve it as more of an admin bits and bobs day to relieve the pressure - a note to self. But in the morning, I had some meetings, so I fell back into an outfit that I’d worn before and quite frankly adore. The tunic cut of the linen feels sleek, and the trousers are a bit like being naked in that they are so breezy you forget you’re wearing any at all. Great for a toasty day. I’ve tried to find some dupes for the top in last Friday’s post because I know you’re all mad for it and I GET IT! In the evening, in all honestly, I’d got a bit sweaty, so I just swapped out the top for my trusted MANGO waistcoat from last summer and wore it for my sewing class. A long-line top with a very, very wide-legged trouser is a silhouette I’m digging right now.
