The Weekly Wishlist: The Summer Classics
Plus a NET-A-PORTER haul, and two dupes for *that* Faithfull The Brand Top
This week’s newsletter includes:
*THOSE* dupes, summer skirts for trouser-lovers, and two jewellery switches I plan on making this summer.
The Substacks that I’ve saved this week, including one with ALL the laid-back summer inspo (that you no doubt already have in your wardrobe).
Another digital wardrobe RAVE, and three ways that it’s helped me get dressed this week.
Six outfits I screengrabbed and how I recreated them without even needing to buy a thing.
And here is a haul video of what I bought this week. A little something just for my paid subs ❤️
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
The White Company Cashmere Knitted Tee* (I’d want this to be a bit more oversized, so I’d probably order it in a L)
I spotted this in Jenny Power’s chat, where she cited this as a great dupe for my now sold-out Reformation cashmere jumper, and she’s right; it looks spot on colour-wise. I’d say the fit is a little closer than mine, so like I mentioned, I’d be tempted to go a size up, but it’s one of those pieces I’ve managed to slot in year-round since I purchased it. Of course, it looks great with denim, but it works beautifully with a wide-leg silk trouser. If you don’t mind a wool composition, this also looks like a great dupe*.
This instantly caught my eye because it feels like it sits somewhere between the Sézane Paloma Bag* that I love with a more Dragon Diffusion shape. Do you see it, too? Relaxed and roomy, it’s the kind of bag you want to throw on with something more polished underneath - think some black straight-leg jeans with a black linen shirt tucked in, tie-up sandals and then this? That’s like my perfect semi-warm summer day outfit right there.
COS High-Rise Denim Shorts* (I like this light-blue wash, but check out the indigo - it’s GORGE).
An item that’s coming up a lot in my Indyx styling sessions is shorts. Look, I get it; I’m a trouser-lover TILL THE END (more on that next week!), but some days just require something well… shorter. Having a pair or two on hand that you love and feel great in can add a lot of variety to your wardrobe. You know that I’m a fan of this AGOLDE pair*, but I’ve been on the hunt for a high-street dupe, and these look pretty spot on to me, with that slightly flared shape that sits away from your leg a little. COS generally does some great shorts if you’re looking for something slightly longer than most out there and with more relaxed fits available.
