Hi Anna! What's your choice for layering under sweaters? I always want the white to peek out under a crew neck, but I struggle to find any that do. Thank you!

Yes I agree - or to be fair I use the SKIMS one quite a lot for that because it's so close to the body, it clings to the neck a bit more if that makes sense? x

Great to know, thank you! xx

Hi Quinn the Uniqlo Airism t-shirts have a very high, thick neckline and are *perfect* for peeking out under all my crew neck sweaters! I pretty much use them only for this purpose - and the price is a bargain for really good quality tees that wash so easily and don't really need ironing. I hope this helps! Xx

When I was going through your newsletter and scrolled past the image of the UNIQLO Men’s Airism Cotton Oversized Crew-Neck T-Shirt, I thought to myself how much I love that one! Until I read your description of it, I couldn't pin point why. It's because I absolutely adore a dropped sleeve. I only realized that about myself very recently. Such a small detail but it can make such a big difference in how you feel in your clothes. And now that's something that I can always look out for when I am on the hunt for a new t-shirt or even a knit sweater. It'll help me make sure that I feel just a little bit more "me"!

I’ve been eyeing the Madewell Cotton Perfect Crewneck Tee and want to pull the trigger during their Black Friday sale! Any thoughts on sizing/fit? Typically a medium but I have a short torso and length is always an issue for me. Thanks in advance :)

Great tips from Taylor there! I think I might pick one up to do in a part two! x

Yes please! Would love to see your thoughts on it :)

It’s safest to go down one size from your standard size in all Madewell clothing! I’m a standard Medium or US 6 and get a Small or size 4 in Madewell clothing. If you want it oversized, order a Medium. The Cotton Perfect Crewneck is so nice and I wish Anna had it in the lineup to help show the comparison visually, but I think you’ll find it as a solid contender with many of these!

Thank you so much this is really helpful! I know I like seeing other people’s comprehensive breakdowns before I go into buying something online without trying it on! Really appreciate your response :)

I have to recommend the Arket ones! Boxy, have lightweight, medium weight, heavy weight, long sleeve, short sleeve etc. you name it they have it! And a good price at between £17-£37

Has anyone got any tips for getting marks out of white t-shirts. My husband dropped some indeterminate food down one of his and I’m struggling to get the stain out (& loathe to just send it to recycling without trying harder)

(He’s currently in America or he could do it himself, obviously!)

Such great tips! I always have pretty good success with just plain old dish soap! x

It depends on what the stain is. If it’s an oil-based stain, ie from something like pasta sauce, you put some dishwashing detergent on the stain and let it soak in for at least five minutes, or more then you can either spot clean or wash in the washing machine. Best not to put it in the dryer afterwards. You can repeat this process if the first go doesn’t fully get the stain out. Failing that, because it’s a white riser you can also try a stain removal that contains hydrogen peroxide.

Agree with Robin to try oxiclean and I’d also suggest white vinegar. I recently got a tomato sauce stain out of a white shirt with a combo of Dawn and white vinegar.

I have great results with Oxiclean. I hope you have your own laundry, because it often involves multiple soaks and runs through the washer (never drying), but it can be done!

Ok, thanks very much, will give it a go

I love Colorful Standard t-shirts but I don’t think this one is the one you were looking for (too thin, hence the name ‘light’) - you would like their Boxy cropped t-shirt a lot better!

Ahhh that is very helpful - thank you! I need to do a part two! x

I love the cos clean cut t-shirts, so interested to hear what you think of that if you do ever receive it and how it compares to these.

Haha - I need to try and hunt it down!! It's been three weeks and everyone is saying how great they are! x

I think you might like the Buck Mason Pima Cotton boxy tees. They are my go-tos. Very soft, slightly cropped so you don’t have to tuck them in (at least on me), but not so cropped that they expose midriff with a mid-rise jean. The fabric is thinner than the Leset Margot (which I am also a fan of) and I prefer the length on the BM as well. They are loose but still drape close to the body so they’re elongating rather than overly boxy. I have multiple in black and white and reach for them all the time!

I'm always keen to see if anybody has heard of our bought tees from 'yes friends' given their ethical credentials. I haven't taken the plunge because do I really need a *another* plain t-shirt?

I’ve been eyeing their T-shirt too. But haven’t tried it yet. Looks like a good dupe the the Silverlake baby tee that Allison Bornstein loves
