MONDAY
Monday was a day of in-person meetings (all very casual, mind you—hence the jeans) and Zoom calls, so I wanted an outfit that was very grab-and-go. I’ve never been much of a shirt wearer before, always preferring a crew-neck jumper or a T-shirt. Still, I feel like this year I’ve understood what I like about them: styles that aren’t too voluminous in the arm, are oversized but not too long in the body and in colours that I find flattering against my complexion - creams, browns and navy (basically ones that are colour analysis-approved, what can I say - it’s worked for me!). The top feels quite polished and buttoned-up, with a ‘more styled than usual’ hair in a bun situation, all balanced out with a very chill bottom half.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday, I headed to London for a day of meetings and events. Everyone was lamenting the style conundrum of leaving the house at the crack of dawn when there was a chill in the air and a coat was 100% necessary, then needing an outfit that also worked as it heated up in central to 24℃ - a tricky one indeed. I went for a coat + trousers + tank top combo, so I was warm enough for the commute but could strip down as it heated up, and it worked pretty well. Big love to my suede loafers that put in a serious 15,000 steps that day. I foresee myself wearing them as much as possible over the coming months for my London days as there is nothing comfier to wear - they are literally like wearing slippers.
