Weekly Wishlist #4
Toteme dupes, the jumper that I've worn solidly for the past two years and a going-out top for all year round...
Why hello there! I’ve been absent from the internet this week as I’ve been away with my family and am writing this to you whilst Mark snores next to me in bed. Yes I will be joining him in the land of nod very soon because holidays with a toddler are NO JOKE! Lovely and hilarious, but I also need a holiday from the holiday, you know? I haven’t been online much this week, so this wishlist has mostly been curated from my screengrabs album which means some of these items have been on the list for a long while…
As always free subscribers will be able to preview the first five items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full 10 piece edit every week and have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Monday. See you then!
ARKET Maxi Linen-Cotton Coat* (I’d order a 38 as it’s an oversized fit already)
Ok this is a pretty new addition to the wishlist, but all over my moodboards are these kinda Milkman-style trenches, do you know what I mean? Like a long ‘shacket’ with minimal detailing. It’s minimalism in coat form and something that is perfect for the drop in temperatures that we’ve had in the U.K. this week. Plus points for the fact that the collar is leather which is always a win for a ‘slightly sunkissed/borderline orange’ foundation lover like myself. Love me a wipe-clean collar!!
Aligne Ken Strapless Tailored Bustier* (I’d order this in a 10, I’d say it comes up slightly smaller than your usual size)
This week I actually did take a holiday from the holiday and went on a press trip with Antler and Lucy Williams to Soho Farmhouse with just the LOVELIEST group of ladies. I had so much fun. Emma was wearing this for our fancy dinner there and it’s just such a great year-round going out top. She wore it exactly as it was modelled online with their really wide-leg jeans* and she just looked FAB. A look to replicate for sure!!
Alex Mill Betty Turtleneck* (I’d order this in an M)
Now I have no idea where this screen grab came from, but somebody who I follow and whose style I admire posted that this was their go-to turtleneck jumper - it could have been Heather?! - and it did look so good from what I remember. As someone who is pretty blessed in the double chin department I have to be careful with turtlenecks and a really thick neck that’s rolled back over on itself can be a bit bulky for me, so I like the look of this one just hitting directly under the chin and not needing a double roll. I might have to try it out as it’s giving serious Toteme vibes too.
Goldenerre Shiny Basketweave Watch Band*
I remember Allison Bornstein posted this a few months ago now and it’s been whirring around in my brain ever since. As a daily Apple Watch wearer (I’ve had it for so many years now I have absolutely no idea what size or model I have!), I was thinking of giving the strap an upgrade and THIS is exactly what I was looking for. It will help to just give it more of a ‘jewellery’ feel.
ARKET Cashmere-Wool Jumper* (I’d order this in a S - I’d usually do an M, but I feel like it looks pretty oversized already)
I saw this online this week - I do like to keep abreast of the ARKET new-in section during R’s nap times!! - and this sung to me. Of course it did! It’s a cashmere-wool blend, slightly oversized, ribbed, Toteme-looking jumper. It made the cut because it reminded me of an Acne Studios one that I had a few years ago, but ultimately ended up selling because the knit was just too stiff and made it pretty hard to wear. Whereas this looks like it has a nice relaxed ‘flop’ to it. Perfect for dressed-down days.
