Weekly Wishlist #1
My weekly shopping round-up and let me tell you A LOT made it into my basket this week...
I thought I was being a genius by deleting Instagram and TikTok from my phone whilst I took a week off work and although it meant I consumed no social media, it did terrible things to my bank account. Instead I spent *hours* trawling Pinterest, finally getting round to reading all the posts I saved on Substack, digging into Allison Bornstein’s new book* and clearing out my wardrobe. To say my autumn wardrobe is prepared is an understatement. Although the majority of my wardrobe hit the vibe I want fulfil for the season ahead (think sleek and simple Stockholm style) there were a few holes that I managed to pinpoint, and here’s what filled them…
I will usually send the Weekly Wishlist newsletter out every Friday, but I had this one ready to go so thought I’d get in there early! Free subscribers will be able to preview the first five items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full 10 piece edit every week and have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Have a look at this week’s post to see what it’s about. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Monday. See you then!
Aeyde Uma Mary Jane Flats* (fit true to size, I wear a 40)
I caved! First it was ballet flats and now these! This year I feel like I’ve made the jump in my style from something that felt a little sportier to a slightly more polished vibe, which hasn’t caused much of a shift in my clothing, but it has shoe-wise. It’s meant I’ve sold a lot of my trainers and have replaced them with comfy - but still chic looking - flats. I’ve been moodboard-ing a tonne for autumn and these were slapped all over them, so I finally took the plunge.
ARKET Dhalia Straight Jeans* (I wear a 30 - I usually wear a 31 in this style for an oversized look but wanted these a little tighter)
Now I KNOW my denim collection doesn’t need expanding as I have pretty much every base covered, BUT it was lacking on the wash front. Light to mid-denim I have covered. Black jeans? Sure. But something in the middle? Nothing. Until ARKET made one of my favourite denim styles in the most perfect indigo wash. I did it.
Reformation Paco Cashmere Oversized Tee* (I wear a M)
I’ve been trying to find a cashmere t-shirt secondhand for months. I just felt like it would be a good transitional season staple for a jeans and t-shirt lover like myself. However they all were a close fit and tight on the arm which wasn’t what I was looking for. GIVE ME OVERSIZED! So I was well chuffed when I found this and yes, it’s made it into my wardrobe.
COS Oversized Rounded Wool Coat* (I wear a M)
You’ve probably seen this coat everywhere and with good reason. It’s a cracking dupe for this RAEY Coat* which is four times the price. I sold my last black wool-blend coat last month as it was just a little structured than I’d like and I knew I could find *exactly* what I wanted. Enter this. I clicked purchase, it’s arrived and like I said - it’s exactly what I wanted. A little structured, a little oversized, practical but refined.
Reformation Sky Relaxed Silk Top*
Now I’m pushing the boat out with this one - but I fancy adding some colour to my wardrobe this season. You’re laughing at me and I know it because it’s brown. HA!!! BROWN!! It’s not exactly the most daring of colours, but it’s not black, ok? I just feel like adding some brown to my wardrobe will give a little softness - break it up a bit. So this is on my consideration list right now.
