MONDAY

This outfit has become quite the WFH staple for me - Ref cashmere t-shirt*, stretchy cords*, Flattered flats* and my usual belt*.

Oh look at me switching it up and making Mark take a picture of me instead of a good ol’ mirror selfie. ‘You want a picture here?!’, I was fully expecting him to say that it was extremely boring content because I’ve already worn this outfit on an almost weekly basis since I bought the cords, but he’s a kind man so he bit his tongue. LOVE YOU BABES! But for a day of working from home, but still wanting to feel chic - even on the bottom half - there is no better combo than this. Knitted t-shirt (or long sleeve) + comfy cords + ballet flats + belt. I just threw a massive black knitted jumper on over the top when I needed to leave the house as the weather was still pretty mild. But I love that this is an outfit that makes me feel great, and that I can actually tolerate comfort-wise until closing shift at 7pm.

TUESDAY

Breaking up the grey - the same shoes from yesterday*, Sezane grey trousers* (I’d recommending sizing up in these - they are pretty tight around the waist), ARKET cashmere jumper (similar here*), with my MANGO knitted waistcoat* underneath.

Ok I will admit that this outfit took me about 17 revisions until it actually felt right. Which sounds like a lot but I can get changed at the speed of light these days, so in fact it probably took me about 10 minutes. But I wanted to try a silhouette that I’d not given a go before. I was inspired by this Toteme look and wanted to do a tonal look, with a pop of a different colour breaking it up from under the jumper. And here’s what I came up with! A tonal grey look can look SO bloomin’ good on some people, but on me without the camel colour there it just looked like I was wearing my old school uniform. It was giving…. flat. So actually the brown gave it a little something, and I think if I was to wear this again I’d add my Lie Studio necklace* too just for some sparkle. And let me tell you I was WARM!! So if you have any long-sleeveless knits gathering dust, then this is a great way to get some wear out of them during the cooler months.
