Weekly Wardrobe #11
A glam night out, THE dress for a winter wedding and what I actually bought in the Black Friday sale...
MONDAY
There is no cuter way to start the week than watching a pool of two year olds have a swimming lesson. Pure joy and utter chaos right there. I usually end up absolutely drenched by the end and this week’s outfit that I need to dry off when I got home was this - cashmere crew neck jumper + vintage Levi’s 501’s + Converse + scarf coat. Already I can tell that there are two coats that I’m going to switch between all season and neglect the rest - this Toteme one* and my longer COS wool coat*. They are just so easy. This one especially gives whatever I’m wearing, which on a weekend day or for nursery drop-off is pretty basic, that elevated feel and means I don’t really need to think about what’s underneath. It’s such a good finishing touch.
TUESDAY
Turns out that going away during the one of the busiest work times of the year means that you have quite the to-do list when you get home. It’s one of those moments where I feel extremely grateful to do what I do because I LOVE IT and you know me and my Notion board - I was on it. So Tuesday was mostly spent filming and shooting campaigns, but I did sneak out on my lunch to go and my lashes lifted and tinted and here’s what I wore. You see those shoes?! REMEMBER THEM!? They were from Topshop back in the day and I stupidly sold them despite wearing them a tonne. So I searched on Vinted and found them in my new post-pregnancy size for £10!!!! SOLD!!! It’s a lesson in not stripping my wardrobe of all personality again because it turns out I just need a bit of neutral animal print in my life. It adds flavour, texture and adds some spice to my basics. These are back with me for the long-run this time.
