The Weekly Wishlist: The Denim Shirt Edit
...because you're all going bananas over my secondhand COS one.
This week’s newsletter includes:
A sandal for flip-flop haters (there’s a lot of you!), a denim shirt edit and a slouchy t-shirt that has chill weekend plans written all over it.
The six Substack posts that I recommend you read this week.
A new Instagram account find that is giving me ALL the outfit ideas.
Taking the ingredients from my own wardrobe and making them into three cracking spring outfits inspired by my moodboard.
How my wishlist has shifted this week and did someone say a SHOPPING BAN!?!
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
I can’t stop, won’t stop with raffia bags. BUT you know how I feel about a textured bag. They are a complete outfit game-changer, and this is one of the best high-street (and affordable) ones I’ve found. I like that it’s not massive too, so works as a nice everyday city bag, but also something to take with you on holiday for a nice dinner out without it feeling too cumbersome. I feel like you could get some serious wear out of this.
AGOLDE Parker Long Denim Shorts* (I wear a 28 - my usual AGOLDE size, my actual waist measurement is 31 inches - just for reference!)
Just a PSA that if you’ve started your summer denim short search and you’re feeling a bit lost, can I point you in the direction of these? I have them in this wash and the more distressed lighter wash denim too and they are just the PERFECT denim shorts. Like I’m actively excited for a chance to wear them again. I’m not sure the Bermuda look is for me, I’m old school - I like a short short. But I also don’t want my cheeks hanging out. These are a nice compromise. I have a picture on my phone of me wearing almost this exact look last summer and it’s one of my favourites.
Reformation Ciara Linen Romper* (I’d order this in a US 8)
Reformation really takes the whole ‘wedding guest’ thing and RUNS WITH IT in the summer, so everything is a bit floral and dressy for me right now. But they do do linen really well. I have a linen mini dress from them from last year that I’m buzzing to revisit again. I love a little strap-shoulder moment, especially when it’s cut in a more boat-neck way like this. Doesn’t it just feel so chic?! And it’s a romper! But it looks like a dress! It’s just so practical and such a good base to work from on one of those summer days when you are HAWT.
