I know that it’s rained pretty much all week long in the U.K., but I’m manifesting some better weather with this extremely spring/summer heavy style smorgasbord.
What’s included in this week’s newsletter…
A high-street dupe for a £1k waistcoat, the chic-looking suede loafers, a linen set that I just spotted this morning and in a sea of satin skirts get the silk one.
The easy brain shortcut we all can do to help you decipher between liking and NEEDING.
My latest sewing project? A £260 dress for a tenth of the price? That’s the plan!
An April moodboard for you.
Plus, the two items from my wishlist that arrived this week.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me over your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
I’m pretty set that this is going to be my April purchase - I mean just look at it! And I know that I’ve included it in a wishlist before, but this is an additional inclusion to alert you to the fact that POSSE is now available on Selfridges (a.k.a no taxes or duties like when you order from their Aussie based site!). GREAT NEWS! The edit is on the smaller side, but includes all the classics and still has pretty good stock left of most things. I can’t wait to throw this on with some midwash blue jeans, an oversized tote and my flip-flops. That’s my summer vibe right there.
One thing I’ve worn a fair amount recently is my denim shirt. My one is originally COS but I found it secondhand on Vinted and I’ve been searching for a similar style to share as I’m always asked about it. I think this could be a good dupe for you. It’s from the mens section (DON’T SLEEP ON ARKET MENS - IT’S FAB!), so you can easily size up if you want things more on the oversized side, but I like the shade of the wash and it looks like it’s soft, but still holds it’s shape at the same time. I wear mine most with my camel knitted wide leg trousers and black pointed pumps. Side note: you know my favourite grey cashmere jumper? It looks like they have a few back in stock in the grey.
DISSH Long Sleeve Knit Top*, Black Short*, Pebble Shift Dress* & Stone Sleeveless Knit Top*
SPRING = DISSH. Another Australian brand that just does linen, dresses and cute little waistcoats so well. What’s not to love? Honestly, it was hard to narrow it down to just four things here, but here are four things that feel unique to them and like good twists on a basic that you might not already own. The sheer cardi and waistcoat are cute and I like how you can change them up by keeping them unbuttoned, I have a different skort from them and it’s changed my LIFE (never buying a non-skort skirt again!) and the dress with the buttons just felt different. FYI - I find everything that’s alphabetically sized to run true to size and for anything with a number, if you’re between sizes then size up (and if you’re order is under £135 you won’t incur any extra duties or customs charges)
