The Substacks I’ve read and saved this week - secondhand tips and what’s a ‘Midimalist’?
A spring outfit formula and how to cheat the TikTok algorithm.
The bag genre that’s going to see you through the spring season, even when it’s still freezing outside.
The most stylish wedding guests I’ve ever laid eyes on (and I found the outfit links!).
Changes to my wishlist and a very special video just for you on my latest purchase.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Guest In Residence Striped Ribbed Cashmere Vest*
We already know that I’m a fan of a knitted vest, but this one is 100% cashmere and the ribbing effect adds a nice texture to what is usually quite a plain basic. It just sang to me! I feel like I’d wear it most as I styled it in the cover image for this post - with some slightly oversized mid-wash blue jeans and then a fun fisherman sort of sandal. LOVE that combo together…
With Nothing Underneath The Weekend In Hemp Green*
Ah damn, this was shown in an Instagram ad that sucked me in. In the ad it’s tucked into what essentially looks like the AGOLDE jeans and just felt like the spring/summer VIBE, you know? It looks like the perfect colour for the true autumns among us. I’d wear it most with jeans, flip-flops and then like a structured more fancy bag to add balance. They do have matching trousers and shorts too, but I feel like that might be a bit overkill for me. It’s the shirt I’d get the most wear from.
When I first saw this style of parachute pants I have to admit, I wasn’t much of a fan. But this sleek style without any bells or whistles, big pockets or random strings of fabric dangling down feels like the version of this trend that I love. Just something simple. I’ve been saying that I’ve been looking for more working-from-home trousers and these feel like they could be a contender. Nice and light for the warmer months too. I mean they are pyjamas, but just ones that you could throw on with a cardi and a ballet flat and easily pop down to the shops in. I’m tempted to add these to the wishlist.
