The Weekly Wishlist: My Best Purchase Of The Year?
Plus the chicest jewellery box & being styled by one of my favourite creators
This newsletter includes:
Two high-street buys that feel right for in-between weather, the mid-price loafer that feels designer and the next big thing in waistcoats.
The Substacks I’ve saved this week, plus the two that I recommend for all your marketing and culture news.
The results of being styled by one of my favourite content creators - SQUEAL, and the chicest jewellery box I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Plus, an exclusive video for paid subs on my best purchase of the year; I’m calling it now!
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’ll have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
ARKET Oversized Cotton Coat* (I’d order this in a 38 - it looks pretty oversized!)
I’m blaming the U.K weather for this slightly autumn-skewed newsletter (got to love an umbrella as your summer bag essential!), but it’s also a good time to think about your A/W wishlist items. It feels like all the good stuff gets launched and swept up early, so by the time you actually want to buy a wool coat, they are all sold out (I can guarantee this COS one* will be gone come winter and THIS COS SUEDE ONE IS MAD GOOD*). And this one from ARKET is giving me total Toteme feels: the drop sleeve, the wide arm, the not-short, not-long length. And I LOVE how it’s styled here. I’ll be saving this in my autumn-style inspiration photo album.
COS Cropped Wool Cardigan* (I’d order a M)
I’m sorry, but I just can’t help myself with this shade of green. A little slimy, mixed with olive, it’s a ‘true autumn’ dream kind of green, and these days, I find it calling to me. I’d ignore the cropped label here; all it really is is a shorter length, so you don’t have to worry about tucking it in. And paired with this classic blue wash denim? What a delight. I’d wear it on in-between weather days, with just a bra underneath (my bra of choice*), a straight-leg pair of jeans and a flip-flop.
Mejuri Dome Ring*, Mejuri Figure Ring* (ad - gifted, not pictured) & Monica Vinader Nura Reef Bangle* (ad - gifted)
I’d been wearing the same stack of dainty rings for years. I never took them off!! But I felt a little itchy for something chunkier - a summer rebrand of the ring stack if you will. I need to take a better picture for you, but now, on my left hand, I have my wedding and engagement rings and a big ball-like ring* that you can see above on my index finger. Then, on my right hand, I have just the one - a wavy, organic type ring* on my middle finger. I feel both naked but very chic at the same time! I’d always experimented with heavier pieces with my earrings and my necklaces, but it’s been fun to extend it to my bracelets and now my rings, too. It all just feels very clean.
