We’re all bored of winter now, right?! SAME. It’s got to the point in the season where I Google ‘When does spring start?’ and the good news is that it’s LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY! Phew.
What’s included in this week’s newsletter…
The best dupes I’ve found for my Celine Hobo Bag, an Aeyde Mary Jane high-street dupe and the jean/tailored trouser hybrid.
I made my February purchase!! And there’s been some more movement on my wishlist.
The AGOLDE-adjacent denim brand that’s new on the block.
Everything I’ve screengrabbed this week - I am having a cardigan MOMENT.
And the three Substacks that I’d recommend you read this week.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Raey Dropped-Shoulder Silk Top* & Shawl-Collar Cotton Shirt*
Last week I went to the Raey Cafe pop-up at MATCHES’ Carlos Place (a very lovely spot if you ever fancy a luxe shopping experience!!), and from the pieces that I tried on, these were the two stand-outs for me. The white silk top is so simple, but for someone like me, it could be a true basic in my wardrobe. I like how it’s styled here tucked in, but the slight flare to the hem works beautifully worn untucked too. Then the shirt is a fun twist on a button-up. Quirkly detailing with the collar and the nipped-in waist. Both tops are food for thought if you like me your top half options consist only of crew neck jumpers and button-ups.
MANGO Cotton Trench Coat* (I’d order this in a M)
For the spring season, you just can’t beat a simple trench. Of course, we’re all going to differ on what fit, textures and colours we are drawn to, but the silhouette itself is undeniably a classic. I’ve got a black one and a beige one from Toteme that I’ve had for a few years now, but if you’re in the market this one feels like a solid choice. 100% cotton and with very minimal detailing, it looks like the tailored and polished version of a trench. I love how it’s styled here actually.
Posse Emma Vest* (I think I’d order this in a M)
My mind is turning to spring purchases. Any cold-weather buys have a month or two of wear in them until it (fingers crossed!) heats up, so I’m at the point where I feel like I can just hunker down and work with what I’ve got and instead think of some SS24 items that are on my wishlist. I linked this up last week? The week before? I’ve lost all sense of time, but I think this will be one of my 2024 purchases and it now comes in BROWN. Stunning. Here are two other summery things that have caught my eye…
Posse Alice Mini Dress* - The dress version of this waistcoat, again in brown.
Reformation Aubree Linen Dress* - My most-worn summer dress of last year now in pink, stripe and gingham styles.
