The Weekly Wishlist: Earthy Tones & Suede Saves
Welcome to the 'Brown, Green & Suede' Fanclub
The run-up to a new season can start to feel a bit itchy if you’re trying to be more mindful of what you’re adding to the wardrobe. The scrolling I did just to put this post together made me want to make approximately 197 online orders. I get it! So remind yourself of your daily style needs, stick to the wishlist if you have one and take a breath. There’s a 99% chance it will still be in stock tomorrow.
What’s included in this week’s newsletter…
An ARKET-like slim profile leather loafer, a dupe for last year’s sell-out MANGO knitted waistcoat and a high-street suede jacket that just feels like it’s meant to be.
Two under £200 bridal dresses I’d be tempted by if I was getting married this year.
The TikTok’s I’ve saved this week that won’t rot your brain away - promise!
Some packing advice to test out on your next trip - we LOVE a method around here.
Want me to style you? I have updates!!!
Here’s how my wishlist is looking (and how to get the database for yourself in Notion if you fancy it).
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up to the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
ARKET Poplar Mid Relaxed Jeans*, ARKET Suede Shoulder Bag* & ARKET Denim Shirt*
I logged onto the ARKET website and did a long low whistle to myself. DAMNNN the spring drop is good. I scrolled the whole new-in section and these three pieces spoke to me the most. I’m always interested to see what new denim styles they bring in as they do some of my favourite high-street denim and the ‘Poplar’ style looks like their version of the AGOLDE pinch-waist ones. A slim, but still straight-leg, and mid-rise, plus this mid-wash blue is a classic rinse. I’m a complete sucker for suede at the moment (as you’ll see), so of course I had to save this beige suede version of their most-coveted bag - you can fit a surprising amount in these! I know it feels like ‘another week, another denim shirt’ around these parts, but is this what I’ve been looking for all along? A little shorter, a little more buttoned-up? A way to bring an elevated vibe to an all-denim look? I’m tempted.
Soeur Namaste Stretch-Knit Jumper* (I have it in a M)
Whilst searching on the Selfridges website for an upcoming job I discovered this - a knitted vest that I bought last year in cream and adored (and have enjoyed layering up in the chilly weather too actually), in this bronze olive. Isn’t the just gorgeous!? I’m on a bit of a green theme this week! I’ve worn my cream version of this in so many ways, but it’s a nice way to incorporate texture even on sunny August days as it’s light and sleeveless. The more I’m looking at it, the more I want it!
Savette Tondo Large Suede Bag*, Small Leather Bag* & Large Textured Leather Shoulder Bag*
The majority of bags that I buy these days are secondhand, but if I were to buy anything new then this brand would be top of my wishlist. I feel like I’ve mentioned them before, but if I was to make a purchase then it would be between these three. I borrowed the one on the right for a NET-A-PORTER job and it was *tough* to return it to sender - so buttery and beautifully made, roomy too and no obvious branding. I’d love to wear it with just a classic white tee, pale-wash jeans and a pair of flip-flops for spring; a bit of high, a bit of low with a classic outfit base.
