This week’s newsletter includes:
Your favourite bag brand does shoes - did you know? The best jeans of all time are on sale. Plus, a linen jumpsuit that feels very Reformation-esque, but for half the price.
The three things that I’ve added to my wishlist and my New York shopping plans.
What I screengrabbed this week and the outfits those photos inspired, plus what to wear for this weird hot/cold spring we’re having so far.
Three Substacks I’ve saved and read this week, including a whopper of a post that takes 20 minutes to read and is just a DELIGHT.
Free subscribers will be able to preview the first three items from the list, and paid subscribers will be able to see the full six-piece edit every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wish list). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary, which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you with ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. Plus a monthly style clinic where you can send me your wardrobe woes for me to solve. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Uniqlo Pleated Sleeveless T-Shirt* (I’d order a M)
I saw a TikTok this week (that I stupidly didn’t save, so it is long gone into the abyss), but it was of someone showing off these tanks, and you know what? They looked bloomin’ great. The way that they hang makes them look *Chef’s kiss* untucked, which feels like a bit of a rarity, and I feel like if you’re looking for summer tops to wear to the office, then this could be it - PLUS, they are under £20. Colourwise, there are four different colourways, but it’s the off-white that has warm creamy tones that have my name written all over it. If I wasn’t in my ‘slowdown year’, I 100% would have purchased one (or two!) already.
Sandro Faye Leather Heeled Sandals*
These shoes entered my wardrobe as part of a Selfridges job that I shared last week and they have knocked my By Far Sandals off into my ‘To Sell on Vinted’ pile!! I don’t wear a black heeled sandal all that often, so it’s not a category that I dabble in all that much, and my By Far Sandals are something that I’ve worn for six-plus years at this point. But these hug my foot in such a superior way, and the sole is cushioned! I wore them this week to see Countess Luann perform in Brighton (I have never seen such a thing in my life and probably never will again - I was tickled!), and could have danced and clomped around town for another four hours and have felt perfectly comfortable.
MANGO Fluid Blouse* (I’d order it in a 12)
I wore my Tove secondhand top this week, and I’m just not sure that I LOVE it. I feel like all the proportions are off on me. If I’m honest with myself, it was one of those things that I purchased in a very influenced way without really taking into consideration whether it worked for me. I’m going to sit on this one, but I do think some kind of tie-up top is a category I’d like to tick off in my wardrobe. I just think it needs to be something less puffy and with cleaner lines. Something like this, something that just feels less fussy.
