Earlier in the week I asked in the chat if you’d like me to do a monthly ‘Ask Me Anything’ style clinic, and it was met with a resounding ‘yes!’. I’m always looking for new ways to provide extra value and a monthly style check-in feels like a good way to do that (you enjoyed it when we did it last October!). Going forward it’s something that I’ll be doing at the beginning of every month and is open to all paid subscribers - just pop a comment below. I’m a WEALTH of online links, so hit me up if there’s something you’re after (include as many details as you can - size, budget, location, likes and dislikes), or if there’s a dress code that’s left you panicking or something you need advice styling, help is at hand!
A few ground rules:
I’ll try my best to answer all comments left on this post before Monday 4th March at 8 pm, then after that, the comments will be closed and I’ll do another post at the beginning of April when the clinic is open again. You get the gist.
If there are any questions that you’d like to see answered too then give it a like. I’ll prioritise answering those.
This week Substack launched DM’s. I’m unable to accept DM requests currently (I’m sure you understand there are a lot of comments between all the platforms I post on!), but if there is ever something that you’d like to ask privately then the best way to do that is via email - anna@theannaedit.com.
The comment section is open to paid subscribers only. If you decide to upgrade and become a paid subscriber (THANK YOU!!), then you will be able to participate in the comments of the monthly Style Clinics. You’ll also be able to see the full six-piece edit of my Weekly Wishlist every week, along with the rest of my style digest (think screengrabs, recreations, my favourite reads and a peek at my Notion wishlist). Paid subscribers will also have exclusive access to my Weekly Wardrobe Diary which will detail every single thing I’ve worn in the week prior and hopefully arm you will ALL THE OUTFIT INSPO. A subscription works out at £1.15 per week if you sign up for the monthly plan - see it as a wardrobe investment because you’re going to have outfit formulas by the bucketload. The next instalment of that will be in your inbox on Sunday evening/early Monday morning. See you then!
Hi Anna, I need a bag for work, please!
I was toying with a tote, but that’s no good weather wise (rain!)as its not protected, and I love suede too - but it’s just out for the same reason.
I want to look smart and polished, and ideally it needs to be able to hold my laptop, or at least a lot of stuff…
My budget is around £300 (up to £500 if it’s good quality!)
I currently have a longchamp neo le pliage (the black one with black handles) which does the job, but I was hoping for something more stylish…
(Side note - has anyone found a stylish way of being practical for work that doesn’t involve a backpack?? I currently use a backpack for my work laptop, notebook etc - and then have my whistles cross body as my handbag (so I dont have to keep going between bags). A backpack feels the most practical but I feel like a teenage mutant ninja turtle with it on my back… 🙄)
Surely there’s one bag out there that will do the job, but I’ve not found it…!
Thank you!
So much fun trying out this format! I'm not sure if you have shared before, but do you have any dupes for the Whistles leather jacket? xx
