‘But how do I find my personal style?’ is easily my most frequently asked question, along with ‘Where did you get your hangers from?’ (ZARA home a very, very long time ago) and I think it comes up a lot for a few reasons. Postpartum and body fluctuations are the main ones, and I’ve experienced both and documented my style (good and bad!) throughout them. And online for the whole world to see!!! This trainer and leather trouser combo haunts me in my dreams! So I get it. Major life changes can shake us up, and sometimes style is put on the backburner as we tend to more pressing things, but ultimately, we know that part of the formula for feeling good is related to the clothes we put on our body. But how do we work out what clothing we want to wear in the first place?
I’ve put this post off for ages because it feels too epic. Like my thoughts on it aren’t deep enough, you know? But I don’t agree with the whole you either have ‘it’, or you don’t trope, I think there are three main topics to marinate on and answer for yourself, and once you marry them together, you’ll have the secret sauce to getting ready every day and feeling confident in what you’re wearing.
