Everything I Wore This Week: The 'It's Cold' Edition
Layers, leopard print bags and letting my two year old pick my outfit...
MONDAY
On Monday it SNOWED! Proper actual snow that settled for about five minutes (we live by the sea so it never lasts too long round here - too salty!). I worked from home and ventured out for a meeting that involved about 2 minutes of walking outside, hence the lack of scarf and hat here, but here’s how I layered up. In all honesty I was in a bit of a rush so I fell back on an outfit formula that has always been a go-to for me: all black base (shoes + jeans + top) + a coat in a contrasting colour. It makes the jacket look chic as hell and just always works - you’re never going to miss using that combo.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday we shot our latest Aligne job and I LOVE this combo. Indigo denim is really doing it for me right now and this utility jacket* is really simply done, without too much fuss. I really like the combo of it all together - it’s a contender for my next day of London meetings for sure. The temperature here has been LOW this week though, so here’s how this look evolved throughout the day. The above is the outfit that we shot…
…and then on the left is how I wore it throughout the day. Really easy and effortless and I felt so good in it I shot some other bits for brands too - that’s always a good sign! A black jumper + belt + gold jewellery + indigo jeans = minimalist 90’s in the best kind of way. Then to go and pick up the little guy I put on my cosy COS combo of my coat and hat that I’ve been wearing A LOT during this cold spell and the boots that I wear every single time I leave the house and need to walk a considerable distance.
