Everything I Wore This Week

MONDAY
It was a Bank Holiday in the U.K on Monday, so we took the day off and spent it jumping around on a bouncy castle at a three-year-old’s birthday party. It was fun! We were pooped! I wore massive pants under my dress! ‘Summer Garden Party’ is always a dress code I find tricky to dress for as I feel like my wardrobe doesn’t naturally lean that way, but actually this white linen mini dress was pretty spot-on in that it felt light and a little girlie, but not overly so. I added a cardigan firstly over my shoulders, but it felt too preppy, so I popped it around my waist in case it got chilly, but it was quickly discarded as the weather brightened up, and I was dripping with sweat 20 minutes later. The dress hid it well! And that is why I stick to black and white!!
TUESDAY
I had a lunchtime Reformer Pilates class on Tuesday, meaning I spent the morning in my workout gear and never took it off. In my defence, I ate leftovers for lunch that were *too* leftover and consequently spent the rest of the day with major regret and mild panic about what the night would hold, so leggings were a welcome relief. I did finally get around to uploading an order to The Seam that I’d been putting off and packaged up a fair amount of shoes to be sent off to have a non-slip sole put on them, my loafers for a colour restoration and put aside my POSSE waistcoat to be altered around the arms and a fair few pairs of jeans to be shortened. It’s costing a small fortune, but my shoes will last longer, and it opens up a whole category of denim that’s been too long to get my wear out of properly.
