MONDAY
Say hello to an extremely dishevelled photo of yours truly, but I remembered to take this photo 10 seconds before I changed into my pyjamas at the end of the day, so it’s a little… lived in. Monday was very exciting because some of our best pals gave birth, so along with spending the day catching Mark’s eyes and screaming ‘AHHHHH HOW EXCITING’, plans were thrown off-kilter because there was no way I was going to have them coming home to an empty fridge. I put this outfit together in record time and in a way it’s a good experiment to see what you reach for when you’re put on the spot. The weather was more temperate than it currently is, so actually this is going to be a good formula for me come the spring - white t-shirt + usual straight-leg jeans + camel suede ballerinas + checkered coat + chunky gold earring to finish it off.
TUESDAY
When I say this week was a ‘week of practical outfits’, this is what I’m talking about. I worked from home and then spent the evening at my dressmaking class, so I wanted to be comfortable (and dirty out the t-shirt from the day before! Nice). Two things I’m fully embracing right now - a chunky gold earring (I wore one for six out of seven days this week) and layering, which is not only practical but helps to add an extra texture or element to my outfit. There were three ways that I did that this week, (read on for those), but a classic white tee under a crew neck is such an easy way to do this and I liked the look of it against the more creamy dungarees. It just breaks up the black that I so often turn to!
