House shoe recommendations and a jacket that adds pure polish...

MONDAY

Ooof - this colour combination, though. Try it! Black + cream + brown + indigo denim + leopard print + gold. I love it. It is chic and simple but layered, and the mix of textures works well here. I always like wearing my smooth textured leather jacket with something more patterned or woven, like these shoes and the bag, and then the double dose of gold gives a bit of sheen. For a quick pop-out-the-house outfit, this felt like exactly what I needed after a weekend of chill outfits. Structured, but still with some ease built in.

TUESDAY

I wanted to experiment with layering on Tuesday, so I added a sandwich filling with a grey cardigan. It was hardly groundbreaking, but it did add another colour and texture to the look, and instead of always buttoning it up so your T-shirt peeks out from the top, if the weather permits, sometimes it’s nice to leave it undone. I think I prefer it that way, and I felt my three words were pretty balanced in this outfit:

• Classic - A T-shirt and jeans - the ultimate classic outfit base.

• Undone - I always feel a little more chill out when I wear this relaxed-fit suede jacket (someone mentioned in the chat that doing a reverse image of it brings up some good options on Etsy!).

• Polished - Just a big blob of gold earrings - I love these, a more structured bag than usual, and a simple black loafer.
