Everything I Wore This Week
And a week of *nailing* my three words - undone, polished and classic...
MONDAY
Monday was a working-from-home day, with a few video calls and a bit of popping in and out, so the main focus of the day was to be comfy. I weirdly don’t love elasticated waistbands on show, but I think there are two ways to make it feel a little more polished and work for me. I love it when there is a tie - I guess it makes it feel purposeful. And two - just wearing one block colour distracts away from it. So, I felt like this outfit ticked all the boxes for me and would be a good one to pull out as the weather heats up this week - white tank + white wide-leg linen trousers + chunky sandals + textured bag. With tanks like this, I tend to whip out my nipple covers instead of a bra and just accept the sag. I’ve tried all the fancy ones, but these ones* work best for me and look the most natural in terms of shape.
TUESDAY
I’ve always wanted to go to Ardingly Antiques Fair, so we headed there on Tuesday. It was an early start, and we weren’t exactly sure of the terrain, so I dressed pretty casually. It was the right call, as there was a lot of walking to be done. I came away empty-handed, and Mark came back with a whole model train exhibition layout that is now living in our roof. This feels like a good outfit formula to go for during the weekends and a reminder to wear my sweatshirts more during the day instead of just reserving them for evening TV viewing. A more casual option than my cashmere jumpers, and they give that undone feel. In the evening, I went to sewing class and just swapped my trainers for flip-flops as the weather had heated by then.
