MONDAY
Monday was a mix of filming and meetings, so I wanted to feel comfortable but lean into the ‘polish’ in my three words as it was my ‘big’ day of the week. There’s always a favourite from this newsletter, and this one was my top pick and one that I’d like to find ways to repeat and rework. Knitted tank + linen trousers + jumper around the waist + pointed flats + woven leather bag. The base is classic, the shoes and jewellery add polish, and the bag and jumper trick makes it feel more undone and relaxed. It was very much inspired by this NET-A-PORTER article and is a great way to layer in a practical way for this bizarre cold August we’re having - that jumper was used!
TUESDAY
I just can’t help myself with this outfit formula. It’s that light t-shirt + cardigan or jumper around the waist + leggings + animal print ballerinas + tote bag, number again. Putting this newsletter together makes me realise that whilst I’m a pieces repeater, I’m not necessarily a whole outfit repeater, but I can’t get enough of this one. I’ve changed the top from white to black and the leggings from black to brown and played around with layering cardigans and jumpers, but it feels so easy and so chic. Someone at Reformer even complimented my shoes!! I had a mid-morning class, so I went straight from there to a cafe for some laptop time, and it’s a routine I really want to do more. I’m a notorious homebody, and sometimes it’s nice to change it up a bit.
