MONDAY
One thing that helps me to focus and streamline the whole ‘What the hell am I going to wear today?’ conundrum every morning is to have a theme for the week. Nothing too concrete or rule-binding, but a bit of direction. Something to aim for. Now it’s not ground-breaking by any stretch of the imagination, but this week I wanted to lean into my everyday uniform. The basics. Outfits that I know I’ll look back in 12 months and think - ‘yeah I still like that!!’. I don’t think that every outfit needs to fulfil these criteria - that would be boring and we’d never try anything new, but if you’re feeling untethered it can anchor you back down, especially in transitional moments like this where we’re desperate for spring and something new to hang in our wardrobes. So this week I went heavy on the ‘classic’ aspect of my three words, and this outfit was that in a nutshell. Nothing fancy, just some of my favourite items cobbled together that complete a solid working-from-home base, and something more elevated for when I left the house.
TUESDAY
I have a BUMPER post coming for you this week that I shot on Tuesday so seeing as I was in and out of clothes all day, when I was in my final outfit of the day I just wanted to be in something that felt like pyjamas. Enter this set-up; an extremely oversized jumper with a fluffy texture that makes it feel a bit more luxe than other ones that I own and there’s something about this colour combination together - black + camel + gold. It’s one that I come back to a lot because it always makes me feel put together even if I’m just pottering around the house in my slippers. I’m still putting the finishing touches on the post, but a mega working-from-home outfit guide will be coming your way next week. It’s huge and scientific.
