MONDAY
The answer to the above question is… no. It’s just not feasible. Time, hormones, mood, and sickness all play into how we feel and reflects on how we prepare for the day and ultimately show up. I can’t pinpoint why exactly, but on Monday I couldn’t ‘show up’ in the way that I like to, so I spent the morning wallowing around in a tracksuit and managed to haul myself into the above for a Pilates class at lunchtime. I always get a bit embarrassed to upload these outfits into the newsletter - like THIS is what you pay for?! I feel like apologising. But then this newsletter is an accurate diary of what I wear daily, even if it’s workout gear and socks so short that my ankles froze. At least I went there a little with one of my favourite coats and the earrings that you’ll see I wore all week long (AGAIN!).
TUESDAY
Sometimes all you need is a new day, right? Because I LOVE this outfit and it’s my favourite of the week. The outfit juices were FLOWING. I headed up to London for back-to-back meetings and events and wanted something that towed the line between put-together, and still fairly relaxed. I was on a train at 7 am, so this outfit was cobbled together at the crack of dawn and was mainly focused on the fact that I wanted to find a way to wear these black trousers that I don’t wear as often as I’d like. In the end, I settled for this - black trousers + black t-shirt + denim shirt (worn open as a jacket) + brown loafers + textured brown bag. The earrings and the plait were a nice finishing touch. I hadn’t worn an outfit like this before, and it was one of those moments that made me realise that there are still 7068 different outfit combinations in my wardrobe that I’ve yet to wear. Love when you find those new looks that get you excited like that.
