MONDAY
I’m writing this post freshly squeezed on Sunday night and looking back at Monday’s outfit I had to double-check the date twice. HOW DOES IT FEEL LIKE THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN TWO MONTHS AGO!? Monday was spent working from home and as an April WFH uniform, I think this one is pretty solid I have to say - chunky gold earrings + oversized very long-sleeve jumper + wide-leg silk trousers (extra points for something that feels tonal). The top half gives comfort, and the bottom adds luxe texture - creating balance and the perfect outfit for a day of propping up your laptop.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday I headed into Brighton for lunch at one of my favourite spots (Tutto if you’re wondering - order the Raviolo Carbonara and thank me later). I’m always trying to strengthen my ‘non-jeans styling muscle’ and I did pretty well this week! So I used the black trousers as a starting point and worked from there. If you’re a denim lover like me the inverted denim method is always a good one - flip it on its head and do a denim shirt instead. Mixing in the cream coat with brown accents kept it from feeling too graphic and the bag added some much-needed texture too. Overall it just felt like something a bit different for me, but still something I felt 100% comfortable in. 10/10 would recommend this formula! Black trousers + denim shirt + some kind of loose spring jacket (suede would look great too!) + textured bag + suede loafer.
