Everything I Wore This Week
The magic of a grey and brown combo and the layering technique that allows you to wear favourite suede jackets all winter long...
MONDAY
I will admit that I did have to take this photo on Tuesday morning because come New Year’s Day and I’d lost all concept of time and days of the week and couldn’t have even guessed it was a Monday. But it was!! And seeing as it was our final no-work day we decided to do a little family trip with my parents to the local heritage steam railway. Who had a better day? Mark or Ralph? It’s hard to say. For the occasion I kept my outfit simple. I knew this combination would keep me warm (I had one of my Chantelle vests* on under my shirt), but the double denim made me feel like I was ‘doing a thing’ and the earrings added a more finished look as they always do. In a nutshell I just felt like ‘me’. Undone, polished and classic.
TUESDAY
….and we’re back!! I spent Monday night in a flap thinking WHAT THE HELL WAS I GOING TO POST ON TUESDAY until I realised that nobody actually cares and the best plan of action was to hunker down for the first week of January to formulate a strategy and content plan for the year. I really wanted to take some time to make sure I’m sharing in a more considered way and want my content to ultimately be helpful and informative over anything else - I feel like I lost my way with that a little in 2023. Hence why you haven’t seen me crop up anywhere else this week, I’ll be back to posting tomorrow. So for a day of purely laptop time here’s what I wore. I didn’t want jeans, I wanted pure cosiness and this fit that bill without me feeling embarrassed every time I had to open the door. Knitted trousers + an oversized fluffy jumper is basically daytime pyjamas and I’m here for it.
