Everything I Wore Last Week
Soft clothing outfit formulas galore, plus *that* bag is back in stock...
MONDAY
We landed back in the U.K. from New York at 6 a.m. on Sunday, after I managed to clock up a mega 90 minutes of sleep on the plane. So, on Monday, we took it slooooow. I have succumbed to the brain-smoothing magic of Emily in Paris - Viv Chen called it ‘Cocomelon for fashion girls’, which gave me the push I needed - it just goes right over the brain folds. The sort of switch-off TV you need sometimes. So I unpacked, did laundry, and the other usual post-trip comedown tasks whilst watching one of the best/worst TV shows ever made. In terms of my outfit, it was *cold*, so I just needed something warm and cosy. These DONNI trousers* have put in the overtime since I got them (and these are a similar-ish dupe*).
TUESDAY
I actually left the house on Tuesday, albeit for a workout class, so I switched out the wide-leg trousers for leggings. If you’re doing something low-impact that requires removing your shoes, I highly recommend wearing non-workout pieces with your leggings if you want it to feel like more of an outfit. Perhaps you’re running errands before or after? Or do you want to wear just one outfit that you can stay in all day? Rachel did such a great post on multi-functional workout looks. I had Zoom calls all afternoon, so no one knew I was marinating in my leggings. It’s amazing what a big earring and a layer of tinted moisturiser* can do.
