Everything I Wore Last Week
Dusting off last year's favourites and my full Friendsgiving menu...
MONDAY
Whenever I write this post on a Monday instead of a Sunday evening (you can blame Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 for that!), the previous Monday feels like an absolute lifetime ago. Thanks to my diary, I can see that I spent the day shooting some party looks (see that post below), so once that was out of the way, I craved something soft. I stumbled across this pair of Apiece Part corduroy trousers from last year (if you’re ever trying to find them secondhand, I think they are the ‘Meridian’ style - they still have a navy colourway in stock on their website), and instantly felt happy pulling them back on. I love the soft barrel leg, and they are just ridiculously comfortable to wear. I’ve always loved them with a brown - I was really channelling my True Autumn palette that day.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday, I tried on many, many white T-shirts for my ‘Very Extensive White T-Shirt Competition’ post, and the winning one from Everlane* got layered under my favourite chunky jumper. If the weather ever dips below like 3℃, then this jumper is what I’m wearing. Again, a good purchase from last year; I just wanted something easy that I didn’t have to think about, so I wore it around the house with jeans and my favourite shoes. Until 5 pm of course, when I switched into my MANGO Knitted Trousers* and my UGG Slippers* - there’s a hard cut-off time in this household for jeans wearing. It was nothing special, but it felt like a classic outfit that I happily would have worn last year and the year before that. Sometimes, you just need your style comfort blanket.
